Adjusting Chemistry to Feel Good the Healthy Way: Dopamine, GABA, Serotonin, Oxytocin & more | Ep 13

by Krissy Hawkes & Elwin Robinson
[[EMBEDDED_PLAYER]]

We all want to feel better, but are the strategies we're currently using like caffeine, alcohol, nicotine and other legal and pharmaceutical drugs, and other addictive and compulsive habits, really the best options?

Or is there a more effective approach? Rather than go down the usual path you've heard many times before, like eat well, sleep well, exercise more etc, in this episode Elwin and Krissy take a different approach and ask the fundamental question:

What are the chemicals inside us that make us feel good? And how do we increase them in a way that is sustainable and long lasting, rather than temporary?

Along the way they discuss Dopamine, Serotonin, GABA, Glycine, Oxytocin, Testosterone, Progesterone, as well as the little known DHT and Allopregnanolone as they look for novel answers for substances to take that work better, and are safer and less toxic, than the chemicals that most of us are already taking on a daily basis.
